- An ancient village
- The worldwide Michael Line;
- Stand inside an ancient living oak ( and dowse it's age )
In the beautiful landscaped National Trust Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Signposted off the A14 west of Bury St Edmunds

The Plan for the day:
•10.00 10.30am : Meet up in the car park if fine- refreshments available from a kiosk or in the café if it isn’t fine.
•10.30 10.45 am : Introductory talk on Ickworth Park and its history with Derek Woodhead -this will include a brief over-view of the Michael line in the park and the village which was abandoned around 400 years ago
•10.45 12.30 : [Two groups alternating with the afternoon activity]
Dowsing of the Michael energy line through the church, woodland, gardens and other areas of the Park. Study and discussion of the effect of the line on certain trees.
Or
Dowsing the old village outlines and the old road that went through the park
•12.30pm 1.30pm : picnic lunch near the main house, or buy lunch in the restaurant
•1.30 4.00pm : [Two groups alternating with the morning activity]
3:00pm tea in the café
•4.00 to 4.30pm ; mapping and discussion of our findings - large scale maps will be provided.
4:30 PM ( approximately ) Close.
Cost: £5 towards admin and future events; plus entrance to the gardens and café which is £4.65 unless you are a Senior Citizen [£4.20] or a National Trust member.

- Optional picnic
- Camping chairs advisable if you have them. ( There are picnic tables but limited chairs )
- Boots + jeans recommended for some parts of the site
- Suitable coat just in case.
- Dowsing rods or pendulum if available
- Notebook and pen
- National Trust membership card if you are a member.
