This is the privacy notice of Different Light. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Different Light.
Why and What information is collected by Different Light?
For the website www.differentlight.org and newsletter sign-up (hosted by Mailchimp), we collect your first name and email address, how you found us, with other optional fields on email of home address and contact phone number (helpful for Training Workshops and events when we need to contact you for confirmation of attendance.

A. It is collected by various sign up forms at https://www.differentlight.org and at our Mailchimp newsletter sign up.

A. We collect the information:
1) To deliver the information or services to you which you will have signed up for via our website or social media links.
3 ) For the www.differentlight.org newsletter, sent occasionally via email.
How will my information be used?
A. It is only used by Different Light for the reasons stated above.
Who will it be shared with?
A. It is not shared with any third parties.
Is the intended use likely to cause individuals to object or complain?
A. No – there should be no reasons for complaints or objections. If anyone has any concerns, we encourage them to contact us via email.

How long is your information stored:
Your name, email address and related communications are stored while we are providing the relevant service to you.
When specific sensitive personal data is required to deliver a service to you, that data will be retained securely for 7 years after we have last worked together to comply with legal requirements.
It will then be destroyed.
Different Light may, from time to time, offer its users e-mail subscriptions to fact sheets or newsletters. Any such communications will always follow an ‘opt-in’ policy whereby they will not be sent to you unless you have given us permission in advance to do so.
All communications will contain an ‘opt-out’ or ‘unsubscribe’ function to enable you to remove your details from the mailing list, and from that point on you will not hear from us.
If you later subscribe to another mailing list by requesting information about a different product or service, you will then receive appropriate emails from time to time within that topic unless you unsubscribe.
